Selling Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) Story

Course Description

Business critical and business initiatives have pushed Data Center technologies to evolve significantly over the past years and will continue to evolve.  As organizations update their Data Centers with the latest technologies, Data Center infrastructure professionals will need to embrace the fundamental changes and develop new skills.  Cisco’s Software Defined Networking (SDN) solution for Data Center is Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Tetration and Network Assurance Engine (NAE) which enables application agility and Data Center automation, visibility and analytics. This course will provide students a fundamental understanding of ACI solution, its concepts, use-cases, positioning, and some of the other key players’ offered solutions.

Course Objectives

To provide a baseline understanding of Data Center SDN solutions so that  students can see the ‘big picture’ and how to position and sell Cisco ACI solution. The course will also enable the students to create a personal learning roadmap.Upon completion of this course, trainees would be able to understand:

  • ACI concepts as well as ACI policy model
  • Different ACI Products (Modular and Fixed switches)
  • Navigating and managing the Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
  • Understand Application requirements such as 3-Tiered Apps and load-balancing
  • Hypervisor integration (ex. VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • Multi-Vendor and Opensource Data Center SDN Solutions
  • Positioning and selling Cisco ACI, Tetration and NAE Solutions
