OpenStack Workshop

Course Description

This 1 to 3 day course will provide students with the necessary knowledge and experience to deploy OpenStack. It covers OpenStack’s history, capabilities, components, and troubleshooting scenarios. Training comprises of lecture and lab sections. This course covers ten modules.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, trainees should be able to understand:

  • OpenStack, including its components, architecture and deployment scenarios
  • MySQL and RabbitMQ, explain their purpose in OpenStack
  • Provision Basic Linux Services for OpenStack installation
  • Install and configure Linux for OpenStack, install and configure MySQL, install and configure RabbitMQ
  • Keystone including installation and configuration
  • Glance including installation and configuration
  • Nova including installation and configuration
  • Neutron including installation and configuration
  • Install and configure Openstack to launch a virtual machine instance
  • Launch instance via CLI and via GUI
  • Cinder, Swift and Ceph​ including installation and configuration
